Borage or starflower plant is a favourite of bees as it refills with nectar very quickly, providing them with rich food. It is light and mild in flavour and good all-around honey that crystallises fairly slowly. It can be used as an anti-depressant and for PMS.

It can be recognised for its light, almost transparent colour, subtle flavours and mouth-wateringly smooth. Borage honey is prized primarily as a food item.
